Reverend Lawrence C. Knighton has spent over twenty years observing and pondering human relationships. He has personally experienced both success and failure in relationships. Instead of allowing either to triumph over him, Reverend Knighton has carefully analyzed both. His unique insight into people has helped to create his exceptional awareness and uncommon sincerity. He is truly an uncommon man with an uncommon talent.
Reverend Lawrence C. Knighton is a native of Syracuse, New York. Currently, Rev. Knighton is the pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Baconton, Georgia and is a member of the Greater 2nd Mt. Olive baptist Church in Albany, Georgia.
Reverend Knighton is a man of many talents. He is an astute businessman having successfully managed and grown several small businesses. As an advocate for children, Rev. Knighton also conducts seminars on youth ministry and development. Several of his seminars, “Developing An Effective Youth Ministry”, “Youth Entrepreneurship” and “Order In The House” have helped many churches develop and grow their ministries.
A relevant and charismatic preacher, Reverend Knighton believes that the way to get people excited about God is to make preaching and teaching applicable for the present age. “You have to meet the people where they are,” is the statement that best describes his approach to changing lives.
Rev. Lawrence Knighton is the son of Rev. James and Mrs. Louella Knighton of Syracuse, N.Y. He has one son, Devon and one grandson Devon Jr. Rev. Knighton lives in Albany, Georgia with his wife Tracy.
